Energy Quest is the award-winning energy education website of the California Energy Commission. Infinite Power – Texas State Energy Conservation Office

The Texas State Energy Conservation Office created the Infinite Power of Texas Renewable Energy Educational Campaign to accelerate the acceptance of renewable energy resources in Texas. This part of the site has lesson plans created by a team of professional educators and renewable energy experts ,including teacher resource guides, reading passages for students, student worksheets, and many other helpful improvements in an easy-to-download format.

American Society for Engineering Education

Planting Fuel: Photosynthesis

In this lesson students will analyze the process of energy transfer that occurs between sunlight and plants as they explore the process of photosynthesis. Students will design experiments to determine whether a bean plant will grow in the dark. Data collected from the experiments will later be utilized to assist students in understanding how plants can be utilized to harvest bioenergy.

Bioenergy Summer Technology Academies for Students

Bioenergy Summer Technology Academies are held each summer on the University of Tulsa campus. Three one-week summer academies provide 75 students and 15 teachers in grades 4-9 with GIS mapping skills, GPS knowledge, biofuel and alternative energy awareness, and computer/technological skills needed for research.

Science Educators’ Training on GLOBE Objectives
